He is an past IBA Continental, WBC Youth World as well as WBC Continental Americas Light Welterweight Champion. Francisco has a brother in amateur boxer Angel Bojado.
On the 6th of October, 2007 Stephen Forbes won a split-decision victory over Francisco in the junior welterweight match.

In April 2007, Bojado signed a deal with promotional company Golden Boy Promotions, and made his return to the ring on May 4, 2007, against Dairo Jose Esalas at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Bojado won a unanimous decision.
