Most famously, he is known for his co-founding and directing 48FILM Project, an international short film festival.
In the year 2017, Vitali and Siametis started 48Film Project Hellas 2017 – Respect Greece which is a festival targeted towards Greek and Cypriot artists, filmmakers directors, and producers. It was announced that the footage taken from the films will be used to reinvent Greece as part of the documentary Respect Greece, presenting Greek culture to the world. which will be directed by Vitali hosting Nana Palaitsaki, and produced by Chris Siametis and Alexia Melocchi.
Over 75,000 filmmakers from 130 nations took part at this year’s 48 Film Project festival by the year 2016. In the past five years the winning film have been shown on the Directors Guild of America.

In order to create an internationally-focused festival, the two relocated to Cyprus and set up an online company , and developed an eco- friendly online film festival known as 48 Go Green. Within 20 days there were 330 submissions from around the world. In order to expand the scope and reach of their festival the two relocated into Los Angeles.
The year 2009 was the time that Vitali as well as Siametis started the 48 Music Project as a pilot project in which musicians were required to write a new track in 48 hours. The project was supported by Sony Music, and singer and composer Dimitra Galian was the chairman of the jury.
Vitali is currently directing and producing the psychological thriller Gates of Hades (2018), inspired by the Greek myth of Persephone.
