He appeared in 1991 and performed part in the musical L’Odissea, a satirical musical show based on Homer’s Odyssey that was broadcast through Canale 5 and directed by Beppe Recchia. Salvi was the voice of Telemachus and Polyphemus and Polyphemus, while Andrea Roncato played Ulysses and pornographic actress Moana Pozzi was Penelope. In the same year, Salvi played a role in a different musical comedy that was inspired by Alexandre Dumas’s The Three Musketeers: I Tre Moschettieri In which Salvi portrayed Athos.
During 1995 and 1996, Salvi worked with Disney for the radio program Radiotopogiro, aired by Rai Radio 2. He also took part in Antonio Ricci’s satirical television show Striscia la notizia, both as host and as fake cultural correspondent.
In 1997, he voiced the title-character in the Rai animation series Lupo Alberto.
From 1988 to 1989 Salvi was the host of his own television show, MegaSalviShow;. The theme song of this show C’e da spostare una macchina (Gotta Move a Car) in which Salvi was the author and singer and sung, was a huge commercial success and was a top contender to the Italian popular parade. In 1989, he began his career as a director in the movie Vogliamoci troppo good (Let’s be too romantic) and was a part of the Sanremo Music Festival, singing the track Esatto (Correct) that was a commercial and critical popularity. The following year, he took part in three more years of the Festival between 1990 and 1996.
