Franc Kangler (born on July 8, 1965) is the name of a Slovenian politician from Slovenia. He was his mayor for Maribor the second-largest town in Slovenia. In December 6, 2012, because of protests and protests, he was forced to step down from the post. the position was vacated on December 31, 2012.

Dnevnik showed that his thesis was plagiarized from articles published in the journal Lex localis. On 30 January 2013, the college’s senate revoked his degree due to plagiarism.

Franc Kangler was elected city’s mayor in Maribor at first, after winning the election in December 2006 and then again in October of 2010 when he won a second term. Kangler won his second term during the initial round, and was able to form a strong coalition in Maribor’s City Council.

One of his projects, the implementation of the stationary radar system in Maribor under public-private partnership with the company Iskra Sistemi, is still under investigation.
