Folorunsho Coker (born July 27th 1965) is a Nigerian politician, businessman and Director General of the Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation since March 2017. He was the previous director-general of the production authority for the State of Lagos and commissioner for tourism, Arts & Culture and Special Adviser Central Business District in Lagos State. Coker is the CEO at Brown Restaurant and La Casa Group prior to his appointment as the commissioner of tourism Arts & Culture. He was a juror at the second annual edition of Nigerian Travel Awards (NTA). He was a jury member in two editions of Nigerian Travel Awards (NTA). It was in 1992 that Coker became the personal advisor of senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu. and later, he was appointed the director for the Number Plate Production Authority of State of Lagos. In 2014 Coker was appointed a as the special adviser for the Central Business District of Lagos to Babatunde Raji Fassihola (SAN) who was then the governor in Lagos State. When he was Coker was the DG for NTDC, Coker launched “Tour Nigeria” which was a program designed to promote local tourism in Nigeria. Coker also created “Food Flavor” a festival which featured Nigerian cuisine and culture, and make the city an ideal destination for entertainment relaxing, hospitality and enjoyment. Coker initiated the repeal of NTDC Act of 1992 ( the law that was the basis for it). The new law was approved by the Senate and is awaiting the concurrence of the Nigerian House of Representatives. Coker headed the administration at NTDC was also part of Google Nigeria for the digitization of tourist attractions and street views with the aim of enhancing the positive digital tale for the Nigerian tourism sector. As the Tourism Commissioner, Arts and Culture, in Lagos state, he arranged “One Lagos Fiesta” a 5 day event that was held at five locations across Lagos in the spirit of the promotion of Nigeria culture by presenting music and other types of entertainment. In 2018, in conjunction with the cooperation of the Kano State Government, he began the process of implementing the Kano/Durbar’s repackaging plan. He also initiated the repackaging process of the Iri Ji Yam Festival, Anambra, Ogidi Ijumu Festival, Kogi and Osun-Osogbo festival, Osun. He was educated with Corona College Obalende before travelling to UK in 1992.
