Fofi Gennimata is one of the most popular and richest Politician who was born on November 17, 1964 in Athens, Attica, Greece. Fotini “Fofi” Gennimata (Greek: Photeine “Phophe” Gennemata [‘fofi jenima’ta]; born on 17 November, 1964) is a Greek politician who was President of the Panhellenic Socialist Movement (PASOK) since the year 2015. In 2017, she is serving as head of PASOK’s Movement for Change, a alliance of center-left parties that was created around PASOK.

From October 2009 until September 10, Gennimata served as a deputy minister of Health and Welfare in the Cabinet of George Papandreou, and from September 2010 until November of 2011, she was the Minister Alternate of Education Lifelong Learning, Health and Religious Affairs within the Cabinet of George Papandreou.

Gennimata was barred from running as an PASOK candidate in the 2007 election for the legislative because the supreme court decided that in accordance with article 57 in the Constitution of Greece, local officials of the government cannot run for the position of MP until they have had their term expire.
