His most famous work, Rubber Duck, made its debut in 2007 in Saint-Nazaire, France, and has since been featured in numerous cities across the globe. In 2011, the Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Art in Kobe, Japan, commissioned Hofman to design a new piece, which was later named his Kobe Frog. The museum initially had wanted Rubber Duck to be placed on the roof of its building, but Hofman turned down. He unveiled HippopoThames to London along the River Thames, and Moon Rabbit in Taiwan in advance of the Land-Art Festival that took at Taoyuan. He designed an edifice of a floating fish at Wuzhen, China, and two animals called PETS to be installed at the Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport. The year 2017 was the time he built his Kraken play area located in Shenzen, China, on an area that was used by a Soviet aircraft carrier.
