Fiona Joy Nash (nee Morton born on May 6, 1965) was a former Australian politician. She was a member of her party, the National Party of Australia in the Australian Senate for the state of New South Wales from 1 July 2005. She also served as the Vice Leader of the Nationals in the Parliament of Australia from 11 February 2016. She had previously been an assistant to the Nationals’ Senate leader from 2008.

On August 17, Nash became embroiled in the 2017 Australian electoral eligibility controversy after she told that the Senate that she been advised that she was not a British citizen. Her citizenship was obtained from birth, through the descent of her Scottish-born father. She signed a declaration of renunciation to British citizenship on the 18th of August 2017. Her eligibility was examined as a matter of concern by the High Court of Australia alongside several other cases that could be violations that could be in violation of Section 44, of the Australian Constitution. On the 27th of October, 2017, the High Court of Australia ruled that Nash was not eligible to be elected.

In the Turnbull Administration, Nash served as the Minister for Local Government and Territories from 19 July 2016 to was the Minister responsible for Regional Development, and the Minister for Regional Communications from 18 February 2016 until the 27th of October. Nash was previously Minister of Rural Health between 21 September 2015 to 19 July 2016 and was also the Health Assistant Minister in the Abbott Government between 18 September 2013 until 21 September 2015.

Between 1999 between 1999 and 2004, she served as a staff member for National Party federal ministers, Mark Vaile, Larry Anthony and De-Anne Kelley prior to her appointment into the Senate. In 2008 she became the Shadow the Parliamentary Secretary of Water Resources and Conservation on the Opposition frontbench. After the 2013 federal election, Nash was appointed as the Assistant Minister for Health within the Abbott Government. In February 2014, she was scrutinized when it was discovered the chief of her staff, Alastair Fenival had shares in a lobbying group that culminated in his resignation in the following month. In March, the Senate officially condemned Nash because she had missed an obligation to deliver an official letter Furnival likely wrote outlining the ways he could stay clear of conflicts of interests, since his wife was the owner of an advocacy firm, Australian Public Affairs, which represented junk food customers.

On 27 October 2017, the High Court of Australia (sitting as the Court of Disputed Returns) found Nash to be ineligible to have been elected, due to holding British citizenship inherited from her father at the time of the 2016 federal election.
