At the age of 16 Fung had been introduced by a group of friends at the age of 16 to Hong Kong composer Chan Kwong-wing. Her career began by working as a backstage performer at Chan’s studio. In 2000 Fung joined Chan’s Studio, Click Music. Since the time, Fung produced more than 200 commercial pieces. She also served as a backing vocalist and demo singer for a variety of artists, as well as a producer of vocals for films like the Infernal Affair trilogy, Initial D, Daisy, The Warlords, and numerous DreamWorks animations.
The year 2003 was when Fung got a contract to perform the English tune “Proud of You” for an advertisement for real estate, the song was later transformed to become”The Cantonese track “My Pride”, performed by Joey Yung, released in her 2003 album. The album received critical acclaim as well as commercial success. Fung has also performed “Shining Friends”, the theme song from the TVB the TV series “Hearts of Fencing” and “Find your love”, the theme tune of the sequel to the series “Sunshine Heartbeat”. “Proud of You” and “Shining Friends” were included in the album “TV Magic”. Another song composed and sung by the singer, “Forever Friends”, was also part of”True Colors,” the compilation album “True Colors”.
