In the 2014-2015 year, Socek became a head coach of the Spartak Subotica. In January 2015 Socek was appointed as the head coach of the Vojvodina. He resigned from Vojvodina following his 2018-19 campaign. In November of 2019 He signed with Vojvodina.
He was the assistant coach for the Serbia men’s national basketball team that won the silver medal in the 2013 FIBA Europe Under-16 Championship.
