One month later on the 22nd of January, 2015, following a trial with Bidvest Wits F.C. from the South African Premiership, that Teferra was signed to a six-month agreement with Bidvest Wits F.C. The club later added Chennaiyin FC in 2015 Indian Super League season. He played 11 games and scored against Atletico de Kolkata.

Teferra made the move to Czech first division team FK Mlada Boleslav on a three-year agreement to remain at the Boleslav club but was released from the contract prior to the conclusion of his first season at the club.
