He was then a professor in the University Center AGRUCO of the Universidad Mayor San Simon in 2010. From 2014 to 2015, he additionally taught at Simon Bolivar Andean University, in the area of Constitutional Law, Public Administration Judicial and Constitutional Litigation, specializing in the area of Legal Pluralism Jurisdictional Demarcation, as well as the Court of Law. He was an investigator in the International Institute of Integration Agreement, Andres Bello in 2015. He continues to be as a researcher and educator in the legal aspects of indigenous peoples. He was also a professor in the department of law in the University of San Andres as of 2015. He also serves as a presidency chairman and senior fellow of the Center of Studies – Andean Amazonian Cosmovision SARIRI, (C.E.C.A.A.S).

He has served as the Foreign Minister of Bolivia from 23 January 2017 to 4 September 2018.
