Feleti Penitala Teo, OBE (born on the 9th of October, 1962) is a Tuvaluan civil servant and lawyer. He is the current Chief Executive Officer of the Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Commission (WCPFC) and also a past Secretary General for the Pacific Islands Forum. Teo was also the the Attorney General for Tuvalu as well as Director General for Tuvalu’s Forum Fishery Agency.
Teo was named Officer in the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2013 Birthday Honours for services to the British Empire government.
Between 2000 and 2006, he served as Director General for from 2000-2006, he was Director General of the Pacific Islands Forum Fisheries Agency (FFA) located at Honiara, Solomon Islands. In 2007-2013, he was the Deputy Secretary General of Pacific Islands Forum (PIF) which is headquartered in Fiji. In the same time, he served as in addition Secretary General for the Pacific Islands Forum (2008) due to disease and subsequent passing away of their Secretary General Greg Urwin of Australia.

Feleti Teo obtained the Master of Laws degree from the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand, and the Master of Laws degree in Public Law from Australian National University in Canberra, Australia. In 1986 Feleti Teo became the very first Tuvaluan to become an attorney after being accepted as a solicitor and barrister in the High Court of New Zealand.
Teo became the only Tuvaluan to hold the position of Attorney General for Tuvalu and as the Head of Legal and Judicial Services of Tuvalu From 1991 to 2000. His predecessors were foreigners John Wilson, Neil Davidson, Beith Atkinson and David Ballantyne respectively (1978-1991). In the time of Teo’s presidency, Cameron Dick served as the Acting Attorney General for Tuvalu from 1995 to 1996, as Teo completed graduate studies in the Australian National University in Canberra. Iakoba Italeli was appointed to succeed Teo as Attorney General for Tuvalu in 2002.
In 2014, Teo was appointed Interim Secretary General for the newly established regional organisation, the Pacific Islands Development Forum (PIDF), which he held until his appointment to the WCPFC. (The other two nominees for Secretary General were Wilkie Rasmussen, the Foreign Minister of the Cook Islands and Tuiloma Neroni Slade, the former Attorney General of Samoa and former justice of the International Criminal Court. Ultimately, Slade was chosen as the next Secretary General at the Pacific Islands Forum meeting in Niue, while Teo was appointed to head the WCPFC Secretariat as Executive Director in December 2014.
