Faiq Al Sheikh Ali Biography

Faiq Al Sheikh Ali is one of the most popular and richest Politician who was born on July 2, 1963 in Najaf, Iraq. Another book by him that was published in six editions is The Memoirs of the Heir of the Thrones (Arabic the Arabic word for mdhkrt is wryth@ lrwsh) which was first published in 2002. In this book Sheikh Ali wrote his memoirs of the sole survivor of the fourteenth July in 1958. Iraqi coup d’etat, Princess Badiya who was her daughter by the King Ali of Hejaz and the aunt of the King Faisal II of Iraq who was the most recent reigning King from Iraq who was killed in the coup, along with his uncle and aunties ‘Abd al-Ilah, Princess Badiya’s younger brother who was the the Regent of Iraq from April 4th, 1939 until May 23, 1953.

Sheikh Ali is also the author of a number of works written in Arabic The most well-known is The Assassinations of a People (Arabic Gtyl Shb) published in

1999. released in February 2000.

Other books include The Arab Sheikhs in the Ottoman Documents (Arabic شيوخ العرب في الوثائق العثمانية) and Secrets of the London Conference 2002 (Arabic: أسرار مؤتمر لندن).

This happened after Sheikh Ali took part in an angry debate on Al-Jazeera channel on the Conflicting Views programme in December 2001 calling Saddam Hussein a terrorist and a butcher. Patrick Cockburn, on Saturday 23 March 2002 wrote an article about it in The Independent under Saddam parades families of exiled critics on TV. After the interview, his family were immediately arrested in Najaf and were then taken to Baghdad for five days by the Iraqi security forces. His family suspect he may have been killed by poison put in a bowl of yoghurt.

Sheikh Ali participated in the uprisings of 1991 during the 1991 uprisings in Iraq and was later forced to leave Iraq in 1991 to Saudi Arabia in 1991. In 1993, he moved to the United Kingdom, where he was a participant in many gatherings and conferences of opposition groups in the Iraqi opposition, the latest was that of the London gathering in the month of December. The man also served as an Independent politician exiled from the country and also journalist since 1993, writing hundreds of articles about Saddam Hussein mainly in the Al-Hayat Newspaper and denouncing the Iraqi government’s history for human rights violations. He was threatened with execution from Saddam personally because he continued to criticize the regime.

Faiq Al Sheikh Ali (Arabic: Fy’q lshykh”ly”; born on July 2, 1963) is an Iraqi politician and lawyer who is serving as a member of the Council of Representatives of Iraq since 2014 and serves as secretary-general for the People’s Party for Reform. In the parliament, he’s part of the Judiciary (Legal) Committee. He was the chairman of his party in Civilized Alliance for the 2018 Iraqi elections to the parliamentary seat.

In November 2014, he also collected 78 signatures from different members in the parliament, in order to amend the current 2005 Constitution of Iraq as he believes it was written on the basis of sectarian and ethnic quotas not on the basis of the Iraqi national identity.
