Fabio Calzavara (21 September 1950 – 28 May 2019,) was an Italian politician and entrepreneur. He was co-founder of Liga Veneta (1980), an Italian federalist party based within Padua (Veneto area).
In his capacity as an uninvolved consultant his accreditation was granted by the European Parliament in Bruxelles/Brussels from 2003 until 2004.
Then, in December of 2000, he took part in the very first public humanitarian assistance to Iraq under embargo led by Abbe Pierre and Jean-Marie Benjamin on a special flight from Paris to Baghdad and a total of 180 people as diplomats, parliamentarians journalist, and religious personnel as well as ONG volunteer volunteers of France, Italy, Switzerland as well as the Netherlands as well as Great Britain.

He was on the board of the “European Federalist Union” (UEF) established by the city of Zurich (Switzerland) from 1982 until 1986. He was an active participant in the National Council of the “Free Autonomist Entrepreneurs Association” (ALIA) from 1993 to 1994, and later in the “Free European Federalist Entrepreneurs ‘ Association (LIFE) between 1995 and 1997.
He was an elected part of the Italian Parliament as well as was a Foreign Affairs Committee member of Camera dei Deputati from 1996 to 2001. He was a member of the first Inter-parliamentarian Commission between Italy and the Russian Federation from 1997 – 2001.
From 2005 he lived in Moscow, Russia. He died there on 28 May 2019 of a heart attack, at the age of 68.
