In 2010, Teixeira was a participant in the K-1 World Grand Prix 2010 in Canberra as a great fight and won by defeat in the first round over Alex Roberts. Then he fought in the K-1 World Grand Prix 2010 in the Seoul final 16 in Seoul against K-1 Peter Aerts losing a fight that was close in the extra round. The fight proved to be a significant moment for fans, showing his worth as a Kyokushin fighter was a part of K-1.Teixeira concluded 2010 with his K-1 World Grand Prix 2010 Final as the Reserve Match and again wowed everyone by beating Errol Zimmerman to win a unanimous decision.

He lost to Hesdy Gerges by unanimous decision at Glory 13: Tokyo – Welterweight World Championship Tournament in Tokyo, Japan on December 21, 2013.

At Yokohama the month of March, 2009, he defeated Jerome Lebanner by decision in the 5th round. In the final 16 despite being a huge favorite and promising a KO victory against Sing Jaideep, the young Asia champion Sing Jaideep, he was victorious at the end of the 5th. In the finals, he was eliminated to Alistair Overeem in round 1 after a knee to his cheek.

After being the 9th Kyokushin world champion 2007 Teixeira was a participant in K-1 in the year 2008. The initial K-1 fight was with Japanese popular Yusuke Fujimoto. He took the fight via right cross-KO. Teixeira was then the winner of in the 2009 Japan GP after knocking out Tsutomu Takahagi in the opening round, followed by two victories in unanimous decisions over Tsuyoshi Nakasako as well as Keijiro Maeda.

He was later selected for his 2008 WGP eliminations, where he competed against Japanese veterans Musashi. He took the win in a unanimous vote and was then able to compete in his debut World Grand Prix championships.

Jun 2012, winning the fight via KO in round 3. Texeira said that he still wants to fight in K-1 if some bigger organisation offers the contract, but until then, he plans to fight under MMA rules.
