On July 2nd in 2016 the player signed a 1+1 agreement for a 1+1 contract with UNICS Kazan. After a single season, he quit UNICS. On July 5 the 5th of July, 2017, Voronov was signed by Zenit Saint Petersburg. After scoring 10.8 scores and 2.6 Rebounds per game in the 2017-18 season Voronov signed a new contract with the club on September 7, 2018.
On the 24th of January in 2014, he made a deal to Triumph Lyubertsy for the rest of the 2013-14 season. In June 2012 the player signed a two-plus deal together with Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar.

Voronov has played for different teams of the Russian Basketball Super League since starting his career as a professional in the year 2005. In 2006-07 the season, he was a part of EuroCup Challenge winners CSK VVS Samara. When playing for Krasnye Krylya Samara, he averaged 7.1 points per game during 23 games in the league.
Voronov can also be a part of the elite Russian National Basketball team.
