Even Kruse Skatrud (born 18 August 1977, Lorenskog, Norway) assistant professor at the University of Oslo, a Norwegian Jazz musician as well as composer, music arranger and orchestra leader. His parents are the musician Harry Andersen and Marit Skatrud Andersen, who is married to the artist and singer Anine Kruse Skatrud. He is also the son-in law of the famous Norwegian Contemporary composer Bjorn Kruse (b. 1946).

In 2008, he composed 4 parts of arrangements to Kjell Karlsen’s Great Band recording Grieg Moods – Ved Rondane, Anitras dans, I Dovregubbens Hall and an arrangement of Kjell Karlsen, performed with Bjorn Johan Muri. In 2011, he performed with Bergen Big Band.

In 2006, he composed an arrangement for the Odd R. Antonsen Big Band Album – where Putte Wickman (1924-2006) on Clarinet and Grethe Kausland (1947-2007) on vocals were among the soloists who participated. It was the final recording of all one of them in a recording. The arrangement that was recorded together with Grethe Kausland also played at her funeral , the title read “Here’s to life” – an expression of celebration for life.

There they gave the audience a real treat with the additional lineup Mathias Eick and Jens Petter Antonsen (trup ets), Atle Nymo (saxophone), Jørn Øien (keyboards), Audun Erlien (bass), Torstein Lofthus (drums), Martin Windstad (perkusjon).
