Evarist Bartolo (born 14 October 1952) is a Maltese politician in the Labour Party and he is the Minister of European & Foreign Affairs. He was also Minister of Education & Employment. Bartolo was born on October 14, 1952 at Mellieha. He has been a Member of the Maltese Parliament since 1992. At the general election held on the 9th of March 2013, the Maltese Parliament was again chosen from two district: that of the 10th (Gzira, Pemboke, Sliema, St Julians) and the 12th (Mellieha, St Paul’s Bay and Naxxar).
In August of 2013, Bartolo nominated Cyrus Engerer in the Labour Party for the 2014 European Parliament elections.
Bartolo taught for three years in De La Salle College, further four years at the national broadcasting station , and after that a further 10 years as the editor and director of news in the Labour Party media. He is now a professor of Communication Studies in the University of Malta. The professor has served as a legislator in the parliament since 1992, mainly in the fields of education, European affairs and tourism. In 1996-98,, he was the Minister for Education and National Culture under the Labour Government.

In 1975, Bartolo completed his studies at The University of Malta with a B.A. (Hons) degree in English Literature.
