Evangelos Goussis is one of the most popular and richest Boxer who was born on September 14, 1967 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Ange Goussis her dad, Aristides Goussis, had been a fighter for resistance for the Nazis throughout World War II for Greece and was also an anti-Soviet guerilla during the bloody Greek Civil War of the late 1940s. In 1949 after the victory against the communist guerillas of Greece, Aristides and his wife, Mahi, a Red Cross child-care worker, emigrated to Uzbekistan.
Goussis was being investigated in connection with the murder of a male prostitute Shane Chartres-Abbott who was shot dead by an eminent hit in front of his Reservoir residence on the 4th of June 2003. Chartres-Abbott had been travelling to Melbourne County Court where he was scheduled to appear in court to be charged with rape. On the 8th of July, 2014, the Victorian Supreme Court jury found that Goussis and two co-accused did not have a case to answer for the murder of Chartres-Abbott.
On 8 May 2004 Goussis and associate Keith Faure travelled to Melbourne from Geelong to meet with Caine in a Carlton hotel at the invitation of Faure. The body of Caine was found with a single gunshot wound to his head in a dead-end Brunswick street on 8 May 2004. At his trial for the murder of Caine, Goussis claimed self-defence, stating Caine produced a gun and fired at him; however, the gun jammed. Goussis stated he then shot Caine to the head with a single shot before dumping his body in the laneway. Goussis was found guilty by a jury for the murder of Caine.
On 29 May 2008, Goussis was found guilty of the murder of Lewis Moran and on 9 February 2009, was sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum 30-year non- parole period.
The trial began in November of 1989. Goussis has been found guilty of attempted murder as well as trafficking heroin. He was sentenced to prison. He was also found guilty of possessing an unregistered gun.

Evangelos “Ange” Goussis (born 14 September 1967) is an Australian former kickboxer and boxer who hails from Geelong, Victoria, and is a multiple- murderer responsible for the murders of two of victims in the Melbourne Gangland murders.
As a boxer Goussis took home the inaugural Lionel Rose Shield. In 1987, he had been considered a candidate at his 1988 Summer Olympics scheduled to take place in Seoul but Goussis was not able to qualify. In the 90s Goussis participated in the sport of kickboxing. Goussis was his (WKA) World Kickboxing Association middleweight champion. Goussis name is in the same league as several other Greek legendary kickboxers, such as the former world champions Stan “The Man” Longinidis as well Tosca Petridis. Louie “The Ice” Iosifidis and the the current world champion “Iron” Mike Zambidis and others. Goussis was eventually back to boxing but working alongside Keith Ellis. He was involved in three professional fights in which he knocked out Shane Wirth in 39 seconds in March 1995 , and then drawing against Ricky Jackson two weeks later. On October 27, 1997 in Bondi He stopped Adam Turner in the first round.
Masked gunmen entered the Brunswick Club on Sydney Road, Brunswick at approximately 6:40 pm on 31 March 2004. Moran ran from his place at the bar and through a poker machine room before the gunman caught up with him and shot him twice, the fatal bullet being fired into the back of his head from a few centimetres away. Associate Bertie Wrout was severely wounded but survived the attack.
