In 2009, Carmody along with Ramsay received a phone call from seasoned players Kathy O’Rourke and Tricia Affleck who decided to team up with younger players in an O’Rourke-led team and Affleck, using Carmody playing the rock throw, and O’Rourke taking second. Ramsay was to throw third and Affleck took over the lead position. The team scored rapid success after being the winners of the 2009 Prince Edward Island Scotties Tournament of Hearts and gave them the opportunity to play for Prince Edward Island at the 2010 Scotties Tournament of Hearts. The team finished 8-3 during round robin, and then reached the finals, in which they fell to Jennifer Jones, who represented Team Canada as the competition’s previous winner. In spite of the loss, Carmody received the Sandra Schmirler Award, the tournament’s most Valuable player.
As of 2012, Carmody’s most recent provincial win in Prince Edward Island came at the 2011 Prince Edward Island Mixed Curling Championships. Playing third for Brett Gallant, along with her brother Anson Carmody at second and lead Michelle Mackie, her rink defeated defending national champion Robert Campbell’s squad 5–4. At the 2012 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship, Gallant’s team finished the round robin with an 8–5 record and did not advance to the semi-final.
Carmody joined the Laura Crocker rink in 2013, playing third for the team. The team played in the 2013 Canadian Olympic Curling Pre-Trials, but were eliminated in the triple knock-out event, having won just two games. The team lasted just one season, and Carmody did not return to competitive curling until the 2015-16 curling season, when she played third for Jessie Kaufman. The team played in the 2016 Alberta Scotties Tournament of Hearts, where they made it to the playoffs, but lost in the semifinal to Team Chelsea Carey.
Carmody was able to make her mark in 2007 when she introduced her rink comprised of her in the role of skip Lisa Moerike as second, Ramsay as third, and Jessica van Ouwerkerk as the lead stone (a team that had played in a variety of cashpiels prior to the year) won the Provincial Junior Curling Championships by securing a the perfect score of 7-0. They went on to compete in their first Canadian Junior Curling Championships, which saw them finish eighth out of 13 teams. The team took part in their provincial championships another time in 2008, and then repeated their record of a perfect record. They also placed 9th out of 13 teams in the 2007 Canadian Junior Curling Championships. The rink won their place at the 2008 Codiac Curling Maritime Junior Bonspiel under the age group of 21. Erin Carmody (born August 4 1988) is an Canadian curler originally of Prince Edward Island but residing in Halifax, Nova Scotia as of 2019. She is a resident of the city in Summerside, Carmody was a biology student at the University of Prince Edward Island when she made her debut on the world of curling after taking home three provincial championships in a row two times with an unbeaten record. Carmody made her debut on the national stage in the year 2010 when she formed the rink along with longtime teammate Geri-Lynne Ramsay as well as veterans Kathy O’Rourke and Trisha Affleck who took home the national championships in the seniors’ division. Webster was looking for new teammates, as her third Lori Olson-Johns switched rinks to curl with Cheryl Bernard. During the 2011 tour season the rink won one event and placed second in another, earning automatic entry into the 2012 Alberta Scotties Tournament of Hearts after placing first with Alberta Curling Tour points. They made it to the semi-final of the event with a 4–2 record before losing to Heather Nedohin, the eventual winner. The team had less success the next season, winning just one game at the 2013 Alberta Scotties Tournament of Hearts. The team also played in the 2012 Canada Cup of Curling, going 3-3 and missing the playoffs.
