in September of 2012 Grow was on air at CBS affiliate WUSA in Washington, D.C., as a Meteorologist on the newscasts that aired on the weekends. Grow was fired from WUSA in the year 2015.

In 2011, shortly after that she was commissioned to produce, forecast and anchor weather-related segment on behalf of WTNH-TV News 8 in New Haven, Connecticut, where she was also involved in the local community, visiting schools in News 8’s News 8 “Mobile Weather Lab” vehicle. The year 2012 was the year that Grow was awarded her Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) Seal of Approval from the American Meteorological Society. After only a year at WTNH, she was fired from WTNH in 2012.

Erica Grow was born and was raised at Bethlehem within Philadelphia’s Lehigh Valley. Her graduation from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology in 2002.

In 2007 Grow was hired as a weather anchor on WPVI’s 6ABC Action News on Saturday and Sunday mornings in Philadelphia. She was involved in education initiatives at Philadelphia schools in the area, and was a spokesperson for 6ABC during community gatherings like events like the Philadelphia Flower Show, Philadelphia Auto Show, and the 6ABC Holiday Food Drive. Grow quit WPVI in 2010, after her contract was not renewed.
