“Your Love Just Came Too Late” was at No. at 86 in the RPM charts, and “I Hear a Symphony” was ranked No. 5 on the dancing charts during 1989. The song also ranked as No. 16 on the magazine’s annual chart of the best dance songs.
Fachin had begun work on her second album when she was diagnosed with cancer, and was forced to put her career on hold while pursuing treatment. The only further recording she ever released was the theme song to the Kiefer Sutherland film Woman Wanted. She died on May 9, 1996 in Oakville of unspecified causes.
Fachin made her debut with the album called My Name is Eria Fachin which was released on Critique Records in 1988, and then toured across Canada in support of the album as the opening show with Candi as well as the Backbeat. There were three songs released off the album: “Savin’ Myself”, “Your Love Just Came Too Late” as well as an original cover from The Supremes’ “I Hear a Symphony”.

Originating originally from Hamilton, Ontario, Fachin started doing shows in the Toronto region around the age 15 and in range of roles, including eveningclub performances as well as roles in musical theater and recording commercial jingles for local businesses and appearing on variety television shows. She also recorded a variety of singles in this time which included “I’m Not Your Puppet” and later married her musical partner Lou Bartolomucci on the 28th of September in 1986.
“Savin’ Myself”, the biggest hit for Fachin in Canada and around the world reached No. 22 on RPM charts in the week of July 2nd 1988, aswell in reaching the top 15 in the adult contemporary charts of the magazine. It also reached No. 50 of the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States, and at No. 33 in the Hot Dance Club Songs chart.
In 1990 she appeared on the one-off single “Can’t Repress the Cause”, a plea for greater inclusion of hip hop music in the Canadian music scene, with Dance Appeal, a supergroup of Toronto-area musicians that included Maestro Fresh Wes, Dream Warriors, Michie Mee, B-Kool, Lillian Allen, Devon, HDV, Dionne, Thando Hyman, Carla Marshall, Messenjah, Jillian Mendez, Lorraine Scott, Lorraine Segato, Self Defense, Leroy Sibbles, Zama and Thyron Lee White. She also had a modest hit on the RPM adult contemporary charts in 1991 with the non-album single “Hug You Hold You”, written by Bartolomucci, and contributed vocals to the self-titled 1991 album by Bartolomucci’s jazz band Synthetic Earth.
