Ennio Marchetto (Italian pronunciation”‘ennjo mar’ketto” ; born on February 20, 1960, in Venice) is an Italian comedian and live performer who’s shows feature quick-change art as well as impersonations, and his signature two-dimensional costumes made of paper. He is often referred to by the name The Living Paper Cartoon. In his one-hour performance, the actor performs more than 50 costumes before the audience , without having to hide behind drapes or screens and without assistance from stagehands. Over the past 30 years, Marchetto has been seen in more than 170 countries, and been watched by more than a million viewers. His shows have been honoured by numerous awards, and were highly applauded by international critics.
The off-Broadway musical Marchetto received nominations for the Drama Desk Award in 1999 and was then he made guest appearances at San Francisco and Los Angeles in which he won Garland Award. Garland Award.
In 2003 Marchetto returned to the UK and Ireland with sell out shows. His great success was confirmed by appearances in the Live Floor Show on BBC2 and the popular Italian TV show Uno di Noi with Gianni Morandi on Rai Uno.

Together with Nancy Sinatra, the New York Dolls, Morrissey and Sparks, he appeared at the Morrissey launched Meltdown Festival at the South Bank Centre in London. In addition, he appeared again in the Royal Variety Show.
In 1998, Marchetto was asked to perform along with The Spice Girl, Bryan Adams and other performers for the Royal Variety Show for Prince Charles which was presented through the BBC. The show was also requested to celebrate the birthday celebrations of queen Beatrix from the Netherlands by performing an exclusive performance for members of the Dutch Royal Family.

Marchetto was born close to Carlo Goldoni’s residence. He was influenced by cartoons, particularly ones by Walt Disney – he used to cut out figures of paper for his sister, and decorate decorations for Christmas trees inspired by them, modern dance productions like those choreographed and choreographed by Pina Bausch and mime artist Lindsay Kemp, his career started in the 1980s with a variety of performances at The Venetian Carnival.

In summer 2001 he was invited to perform at the White Tie and Tiara Ball, an important AIDS Gala, hosted every year by Sir Elton John at his estate in Oxfordshire. The following year, Marchetto attended an exclusive performance by Elton John and José Carreras on the luxury liner Seven Seas Mariner.
