Elliot Tyler Johnson (born March 9th 1984) is an American former professional baseball utility player. He was a player as a player in Major League Baseball (MLB) with The Tampa Bay Rays, Kansas City Royals, Atlanta Braves and Cleveland Indians.
Johnson was taken off waivers by Atlanta Braves on August 22 in 2013. Johnson played the first time as Brave Brave the following day. Within his initial four bats Johnson hit a single twice. Johnson scored his very first RBI as Brave Brave just three days later on August 25 2013. After the seasonended, Johnson was not a contract-holder for the Braves and became an unrestricted free agent. After 32 contests, Johnson scored .261.
On January 27, 2014 Johnson signed a minor league contract with the Cleveland Indians. The contract included an invitation to Major League Spring Training. On March 22, it was announced that Johnson had made the opening day roster, however he was designated for assignment on May 3, after appearing in just seven games with two hits (both doubles) in 19 at-bats. Johnson cleared waivers on May 9, and was sent to the Triple–A Columbus Clippers. He elected free agency in October 2014.

Johnson was named to the roster for opening day, as did Fuld. On May 15, 2011 Johnson made his debut major league home run in the face of Baltimore Orioles pitcher Jake Arrieta. On August 12, 2011, Johnson was among 5 Rays who hit home runs against CC Sabathia in a 5-1 Tampa Bay victory. Johnson was assigned to assignment on February 5, 2013. For three seasons playing for The Devil Rays/Rays, he hit .223 with 10 homers and 50 RBI.

Johnson was signed by The Tampa Bay Devil Rays as non-drafted free agents in June of 2002. He graduated from Thatcher High School in Thatcher, Arizona and began his professional career with the Princeton Devil Rays rookie club located in Princeton, West Virginia. In 2005, Johnson played in the Visalia Oaks of Visalia, California (A minor league of class A affiliated team from the Devil Rays). The same year, Johnson got promoted to class A in the Montgomery Biscuits, then in 2007 he joined the Durham Bulls to play with the minor league class AAA affiliate.
Johnson was named to his way onto the Tampa Bay Rays opening day roster for the 2008 season. In April 5th, 2008 Johnson made his debut with the New York Yankees as the designated hitter for the team. He batted four times and scored the first Major League hit with a single off Andy Pettitte. He scored three hits in 19 at-bats across seven games with the Devil Rays that season before the team sent him back to Durham. The next two seasons with the minors, but missed two months in 2009 because of a broken thumb. The following year, he scored .319 to go with Durham and was chosen to play at the Triple-A All-Star game. In addition, he was named as the Bulls most important player.
Johnson was acquired by the Kansas City Royals on February 12, 2013 from the Rays as the player to be named later in the James Shields trade. He was designated for assignment on August 15, 2013 and released on August 19. In 79 games, he hit .179.
