Dusan Langura had personal ties with Bosko Radonjich who was a was an American Serb nationalist, notorious criminal boss and leader of the Westies, a predominantly Irish-American gang based in New York’s Hell’s Kitchen. Dusan Langura met with Bosko Radonjich for the last time one month before Radonjich passed away in 2011. Dusan Langura began his high school career as a freshman when he shortly attended Sierra Canyon School in Chatsworth, California while living with a host family in Calabasas, California before being forced to go back to Switzerland due to family reasons. He came back in 2010 as a junior at Furtah Preparatory School, a small private school located in Acworth, Georgia. He lived with the Humphery family in nearby Woodstock, Georgia. Dusan came in Woodstock, Georgia shortly before his junior year of high school after living in Calabasas, California. Dusan gained fame in Woodstock, Georgia for his shooting ability after playing at the local LA Fitness gym. As a junior, he averaged 15.4 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 0.3 steals per game. The Furtah Prep Falcons lost in the Georgia Independent School Association Class AA State Finals against the Frederica Academy Knights of St. Simons. Langura played the Georgia Independent School Association state finals with an anterior cruciate ligament injury. During his senior year of high school, Dusan came back on the court 8 months after his anterior cruciate ligament surgery. After not being able to play AAU during the summer of his junior year, Langura was not being heavily recruited by NCAA Division I schools. In November of his senior year, Langura broke the Furtah Preparatory School three points record scoring 35 points and hitting 9 three-pointers against Heritage Academy. After this game, Langura started drawing interest from several low major NCAA Division I schools. After being undefeated for most of the season, the Furtah Prep Falcons ended up losing again against Frederica Academy in the Elite 8 of the Georgia Independent School Association Class AA State Championship in 2 overtimes. Dusan Langura was selected for the Georgia Independent School Association Class AA All-star Game, however refused to go feeling he didn’t accomplished what he was supposed to accomplish his senior year of high school. Langura won the most academic and most athletic award during his senior year of high school. Dusan Langura graduated in 2012 from Furtah Preparatory School as high school valedictorian with a 4.27 Grade Point Average. Despite having interest from Ivy League schools to play basketball and other low major NCAA Division I schools, Langura decided to stay in the state of Georgia and enroll at The University of Georgia coached by former Nevada Wolf Pack men’s basketball program head coach Mark Fox.

At the age of 10, Langura started playing basketball for local club Romont Basket. He decided to play basketball shortly after Yugoslavia won the 2002 FIBA World Championship. He played basketball at local club Romont Basket until 2006 winning a Canton of Fribourg U13 Championship. In August 2006, he eventually switched and enrolled at the basketball academy of Fribourg Olympic. During his time in the Basketball Academy of Fribourg Olympic he won several Swiss Basketball Championships with the 15U, 17U categories. During his time at Fribourg Olympic he eventually made his debut with the Groupe E Academie Fribourg U23 which competes in the 2nd Swiss Division (LNB). In August 2009, Dusan Langura moved to Lausanne Morges Basket where he played for the Ligue Nationale de Basket (Switzerland) team as well as the 20U and 17U teams of the club. After one year in Lausanne, Switzerland, Dusan decided to move to the United States to pursue his education and basketball career.

Being born to a Serb Montenegrin father and Macedonian mother while being raised in Switzerland, Langura was technically eligible to play and represent either Serbia, Macedonia, Montenegro or Switzerland. However, in 2008 after not being able to gather in time the necessary paperwork to acquire the Macedonian passport, Langura started playing for the Switzerland national basketball team at The FIBA Europe Under-16 Championship Division B in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Dusan Langura enrolled to The University of Georgia in the summer of 2013 to play NCAA Division I basketball for the Georgia Bulldogs basketball team. He decided to major in International Relations. The Bulldogs compete in the Southeastern Conference in NCAA Division I. The Bulldogs play their home games in the Stegeman Coliseum located on the campus of The University of Georgia. During his true freshman year of college, Dusan Langura had to redshirt due to a knee injury sustained in the military. The following year, as a redshirt freshman, Dusan and the 2014-15 Georgia Bulldogs basketball team advanced in the semi-finals of the SEC Men’s Basketball Tournament. After graduating in only two years with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations, Langura was looking into enrolling in Master of Business Administration program at The University of Georgia. After realizing that it would be impossible to play basketball and follow the rigorous Master of Business Administration program, Dusan got his release from The University of Georgia and head coach Mark Fox and transferred to Mississippi Valley State University in Itta Bena, Mississippi. The Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils and Devilettes compete in the Southwestern Athletic Conference in NCAA Division I.
