In 2009, he was elected as a vice mayor of Erdut Municipality, representative of Croatian people and served until 2013. After that, he was elected as a deputy prefect of Osijek-Baranja County in 2013 and served until 2017.
He is a president of County Assembly of Osijek-Baranja County since June 2017.
