Doreen Amule Biography

Doreen Amule is one of the most popular and richest Politician who was born on October 28, 1982 in Amolatar, Amolatar District, Uganda. She was born in the Amolatar District on the 28th of October 1882. She was a student at Masindi Secondary School from 1998 and 2001, to complete her O-Level studies. Then, she was able to take classes at Wanale View Secondary School, located in Mbale in Mbale, to pursue her A-Level studies, from 2002 to 2003.

In 2016, she ran for the seat in parliament for Amolatar District Women’s Constituency. She was with the incumbent National Resistance Movement political party’s ticket. She was successful and is now the current incumbent.

In 2011 she was elected an Amolatar District Councillor. Amolatar District Local Government. In 2014 she was appointed Chairperson for the Women Caucus in Amolatar District as well as serving in that role in the year 2016. In the same time frame, she served as Vice-President for the “Network for Locally Elected Women of Africa” (REFELA) as well as the chairperson for the Ethics and Accountability Committee of the Uganda Local Government Association. From 2011 to 2016, she was the speaker of Amolatar District Local Council.

She is a co-sponsor of the controversial parliamentary bill to scrap the age limits of the Ugandan president, as enshrined in the 1995 Ugandan Constitution.
