A native Albanian born in Serbia, Donika developed her musical career across three important cities: Tirana, Prishtina and Skopje. She stopped releasing music for children and started her first career in 2011, however their songs continue to be being listened to by children. To an interview for the Albanian newspaper Shekulli, she announced that she had been signed and is expected to release her first record in early 2015.
In the latter half of 2012 Donika was able to decide to sign for YouTube and soon began posting videos of cover songs. She first covered Albanian songs, but later began to cover most popular songs in popular media. After the release of a few videos she had more than 300,000 views. The videos were shared and were noticed by a lot of people, including pop singer Alban Skenderaj who later offered her an appearance at his show. A fan base of a few people was quickly established and she was often requested to perform at concert as well as music occasions. She joined a charitable organization Thejmura to promote the talent of Albania and traveled around the Balkans. Then, she became a part of Art of Dance, and she performed twice on The weekly performance.
