Donald Joseph Hying (born August 18 1963) is an American Roman Catholic prelate who is the fifth bishop of the Diocese of Madison, Wisconsin. He served as an auxiliary bishop in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, from 2011 until 2015, and a Bishop of the Diocese in Gary, Indiana, from 2015 until 2019. On April 25, 2019 He was appointed Bishop from Madison. On the 20th of May 1989 Hying became a priest in the Milwaukee Archdiocese by Archbishop Rembert Weakland. He was the associate pastor at St. Anthony Parish, Menomonee Falls from 1989 until 1994. Hying then was Team Member for La Sagrada Famia Parroquia, Dominican Republic, from 1994 until 1997. He was appointed interim Administrator in St. Peter Parish (1998) before becoming the associate pastor of St. Anthony Parish, Milwaukee from 1998 until 1999. He was named as pastor at Our Lady of Good Hope Parish, Milwaukee, from 1999 until 2005. in 2006 Hying served as interim administrator for St. Augustine Parish, Milwaukee in the year 2006. He was appointed the director of Formation at Saint Francis de Sales Seminary from 2005 until 2007. He was appointed Rector of St. Francis de Sales Seminary by Archbishop Timothy Michael Dolan from 2007 until 2011.

On April 25, 2019, he was named Bishop of the Diocese of Madison, Wisconsin, to replace the deceased Bishop Robert Morlino. He was installed on June 25, 2019.
