Don Carlos is one of the most popular and richest Reggae Singer who was born on June 29, 1952 in Kingston, Jamaica. Reggae singer most well known for his solo albums released throughout the 1980s which gained popularity in and out of dance halls. He is also well recognized as a lead vocalist for the group Black Uhuru which has gained significant popularity throughout Africa.

Both he and Shabba Ranks are popular Jamaican reggae stars.

Don Carlos began singing in 1973 as a member of Black Uhuru. He sang alongside Garth Dennis and Derrick Simpson, the leader of the trio.

In 1988 he recorded “Jingle Bells” with Glenice Spenser on A Reggae Christmas on RAS Records. In 1990 he re-united as the lead vocalist for a Black Uhuru album. Don continues to perform all over the world, and has a large fanbase in Africa.

He was born Ervin Spencer in the Waterhouse district of Kingston, Jamaica.
