Dominique Leroy (born 8 November 1964, Ixelles) is a Belgian businesswoman who was acting as CEO of telecoms firm Proximus Group from 2014 until 2019. The Ministers in the Belgian Cabinet named Leroy as the successor of Didier Bellens on the 9th of January 2014. She was the very first female to be the head of the company andwas, at the time, the sole female CEO of companies on Belgia’s BEL 20 stock market index.
In the latter part of 2018 The Financial Times reported that Leroy was one of the possible candidates to succeed Gavin Patterson as CEO of the BT Group; the job was awarded to Philip Jansen. In the early months of 2019 she was asked to meet with Belgian Premier Charles Michel after media reported an initiative to cut costs at Proximus which would result in an overall reduction in headcount of 650 employees.
Since June 2012 onwards, Leroy was the head of business units for consumers. He also was an active member of the executive committee for Belgacom.
