In the summer of 2003, Dolcenera took off on an extensive concert tour across Italy in order to promote her album debut.
The album, released on 20 May 2005, peaked at number 4 on the Italian Albums Chart and was certified Platinum, selling more than 90,000 copies. In 2005 she also received the De André Award, the Leone d’Argento as “Musical Revelation of the Year” and she scooped “Best New Artist of the Year” at the MEI (“Meeting of Independent Record Labels”).
In 2005, Dolcenera won the second edition of Music Farm, an Italian reality show, whose contestants were well-known or promising singers. During the live shows, she performed Italian and international songs, such as Loredana Bertè’s “Sei bellissima” and Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive”. She also sang for the first time “Mai più noi due”, the first single from her second studio album titled Un mondo perfetto.
Dolcenera’s first single “Solo tu”, was released in September 2002. The single enabled her to be a part of the singing competition Destinazione Sanremo, broadcast on Rai 2 from 27 September 2002. The goal was to select 12 of the 16 newcomers to the 53rd Sanremo Music Festival. On the 20th of December 2002, at the end performance of the program, Dolcenera was announced one of the contestants.

Emanuela Trane (born 16 May 1977) more popularly known as the stage name Dolcenera [,doltSe’ne] , is an Italian artist, singer and actress. Her fame exploded in 2003 after she won the section for newcomers of the Sanremo Music Festival, but she was able to achieve commercial success within Italy just in the year 2005 when she was crowned the winner of the reality show based on music Music Farm and she released her second album Un Perfetto mondo. In 2005, she also was named the The Best Young Artist Award of the year in The Italian Meeting of Independent Record Labels and was also awarded the De Andre Award for Best Emerging Artist.
She began writing songs when she was 14 and later learned to sing, clarinet and piano. She was in 1993 when she started the group I Codici Zero alongside Michele Vitulli, Francesco Cherubini, Emanuele Fontana and Francesco Sighieri. In the early 2000s , she came across on a chatroom the Italian record producer and musician Lucio Fabbri, who was a member of the band progressive rock Premiata Forneria Marconi. Because of Fabbri who later became her producer for the very first time, she was able to secure an agreement to record with an independent record label Amarena Music.
During the festival, held in May 2003, Dolcenera performed the song “Siamo tutti là fuori”, later released as her second single. On 7 March 2003, Dolcenera won first place in the newcomers’ section of the competition and she received the “Press, TV and Radio Award”. The single, which peaked at number 10 on the Italian Singles Chart, was included in Dolcenera’s debut album, Sorriso nucleare, released in March 2003. The album also spawned the singles “Devo andare al mare” and “Vivo tutta la notte”.
