He took part in the first and third Moscow Biennale of Contemporary Art and the 56th Venice Biennale, HangART-7 in Salzburg and art exhibitions held in Kiev, Madrid, Athens, Vienna, Miami, Paris and London.
In 2013, four sculptures of Shorin’s project Dmitry named I Believe in Angels were installed within Terminal 1 of Pulkovo Airport in Saint Petersburg. The glass-fiber figures of angels adorned with airplane wings are displayed in the departure hall. The other piece he created with the help of artist Sergei Shnurov was relocated to Pulkovo in 2014.

Dmitry Alexandrovich Shorin (Russian: Dmitrii Aleksandrovich Shorin; born on April 28, 1971 in Novosibirsk, USSR) is a Russian artist and sculpture. Dmitry is the newest contemporary artist to be honored with a solo exhibition at the Marble Palace of State Russian Museum and is a Kandinsky Prize winner.
He was a student at the Omsk State Pedagogical University and then moved towards Saint Petersburg to finish his studies and then graduate from the local academy of costume design. Since then, the artist lives and works at Saint Petersburg. Shorin is an active member of the Free Culture>> Society which is a non-profit association of artists from the underground that holds his first shows between 1994 and 1996, as well as is a member of the UNESCO International Federation of Art.
