Dina Al-Sabah is one of the most popular and richest Athlete who was born on February 28, 1974 in Beirut, Beirut Governorate, Lebanon. Al- Sabah is a native of Beirut, Lebanon; her mother is of Turkish and Syrian origin, and her father is of Kuwaiti, Turkish and East African of East African and Turkish origin. She was born part of the Al-Sabah family. She has close to her lineage since her father was Salim Al-Sabah’s son. Salim Al-Mubarak Al- Sabah, ruler of Kuwait between 1917 and 1921. The Al-Sabahs ruled Kuwait for two centuries.

Soon Al-Sabah became a household name herself in the realm of figure competitions. She won in 2003 the Jan Tana Figure Championships and finishing fifth at the first Figure Olympia. The accomplishments have received some scrutinization. Her choice to compete and model has been criticized by traditional Arabs.

Al-Sabah began competing in 1999. She determined to compete in an entry into the NPC Figure Nationals after winning the Monica Brant Fitness Classic in 2001. When she tried to apply for the national championships, she discovered that she was required to be an United States citizen in order to be permitted to compete in all of the NPC professional qualifiers. The only way to participate in the Pro Division of the IFBB was to receive a approval of the Kuwaiti national federation that is part of the IFBB. Because of the tradition of Arab belief women are not permitted to compete in bodybuilding contests and she was refused the opportunity to get a recommendation. Although this didn’t deter Al-Sabah and she determined to establish her name as a competitive athlete in the hope that someone would recognize her potential. She was a winner of several prestigious NPC contests in 2002 and presented her issue before NPC President Jim Manion and IFBB president Ben Weider. Then, in November of 2002 Al-Sabah received the IFBB Pro card.

Dina Ali Fahad Al -Sabah (born on February 28th 1974) is an elite figure athlete from Kuwait. She is the sole female Arab athlete to be granted pro card status in 2006 and also one of the few female Arab athlete ever to stand at the Olympia stage. Also, she is the sole IFBB athlete to have participated at both the Inaugural figure Olympia of 2003 as well as the Inaugural Bikini Olympics in 2010.

Al-Sabah started her weight-training journey after she relocated to London in the year 1991. Being a newcomer to the country, she didn’t have any acquaintances and was able to spend a lot of time and decided to sign up for a fitness class for an exercise. When she relocated into America in 1994, she was able to join a gym. United States in 1994 to pursue her studies at George Washington University, she began to take an interest in lifting weights and in educating herself about weight fitness and nutritional.
