In 2002, he performed in “Hall in Bulgaria”. The following year, as a soloist in the orchestra at The National State Opera, Stara Zagora. He performed R. Shuman, piano concert in the key of A-minor. He was the soloist at Gap as well as Marseille within the project Young Musical Talents” which included Bulgaria in addition to France.
In 2005, he enrolled as an undergraduate of the University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna, in the piano classes of Franz Zettl. In 2011, he received an undergraduate degree in the piano class taught by Markus Prause. The other teachers included Igo Koch as well as Otto Probst. Velichkov has taken part in lessons in piano with Atanas Kurtev Dimo Dimov, Ivaila Kirova, Krasimir Gatev and Aaron Short. In 2015, he earned an advanced degree.
Since 2017 he works as a piano teacher at the Franz Schubert Conservatory – Vienna and at the Schmid & Zettelmann Private Music School.
