Fong is recognized by the Guinness World Records as the first professional gamer.
Fong participated in Microsoft’s sponsored Doom tournament sponsored by Microsoft Judgment Day 1995 in Seattle. Thresh beat Ted “Merlock” Peterson to be the first out of 24 contestants from the US as well as the United Kingdom.
