Orimoloye started playing Little League Baseball at the age of 10. He was a student at St. Matthew Catholic High School in Ottawa. He was a member of an organization called the Canadian junior national team when he was just 15 years old. He went as a member of the national baseball team in Orlando, Florida, Cuba in addition to Cuba, and the Dominican Republic. He played in the Under Armour All-America Baseball Game that is played to select the top 40 high school baseball players. In February of 2015 Orimoloye received the honor of being named as a High School All-American by Baseball America. In addition, he was named as The Most Valuable Player at the 2015 Area Code Games.
Orimoloye made a commitment to attend at the University of Oregon to play college baseball with The Oregon Ducks baseball team. He was eligible for selection for this year’s Major League Baseball Draft, and was ranked among the top 50 prospects that are available according to Baseball America as well as Perfect Game. It was reported that the Milwaukee Brewers selected Orimoloye in the fourth round, which was the 121st overall selection in the selection. He joined the Brewers with an additional $450,000 in signing bonuses, and then reported on the Arizona Brewers of the Rookie-level Arizona League to start his professional career. In Arizona Orimoloye recorded an .292 hitting average and hit six RBIs and six home runs. Orimoloye was a part of the Helena Brewers of the Advanced Rookie-level Pioneer League, where he hit .205 with five RBIs and a home run. The 2017 season was spent playing for the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers of the Class A Midwest League, posting an .214 average batting including 11 home runs and 45 RBIs along with 38 steal bases over the 125 games.
