Deborah Drever (born August 15 1988) is a Canadian who was elected in the general elections to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, which represents the District of Calgary Bow. She is a student of sociology in the sociology department at Mount Royal University in Calgary Drever was defeated by Progressive Conservative challenger Byron Nelson in the May 5th, 2015, election for an area that traditionally chosen Conservative candidates.

The candidate was accepted as an Albertan in the Alberta New Democratic Party, but was later sworn in to the MLA position as an independent following being exiled from the caucus based on the controversy surrounding her social media use prior to her campaign. She was reintroduced into her place in the NDP caucus.

Following the election of 2015, Drever was criticized on social media following photos from her Facebook account were shared showing a person pointing the finger towards the Canadian flag, and Drever poses with the “Magic Weed” (marijuana) shirt. The images were later deleted from her account on Facebook. On May 15th, 2015 Drever once more sparked controversy when it was revealed that she was posing in an assault scene on an album cover. The picture raised concern with some people who felt it was promoting the violence of women. Petitioners were initiated and a demonstration was held in protest, requesting Drever to step down.

Deborah Drever ran for re-election in the 2019 Alberta general election, but was defeated by Demetrios Nicolaides of the United Conservative Party, as the UCP gained back all but a handful of seats they had lost in the Calgary area in 2015.
