When she was nine, she began taking ballet classes at the school her mother taught. They trained her to be an classical ballerina. She was a student at an Catholic elementary school , and then was enrolled in 9th grade in Commonwealth High School. At the age of thirteen she spent the summer living in New York City taking dance classes. She then went to an institution called the University of Puerto Rico and studied drama as a major. At the age of thirteen, she was a candidate at the Ballet Concierto and became part of the company’s dance troupe and later, she was a soloist.
From 2007 until 2009 Carthy Deu hosted a remake from Noche de Gala, produced by Paquito Cordero, and was broadcast on WIPR-TV.
