He is the artist behind Brotherman: Dictator of Discipline comics, as well as the C.E.O. for Big City Entertainment. The artist also has an archive in The Auburn Avenue Research Library on African American Culture and History in Atlanta, Georgia.
Anyabwile worked with WanderLust Interactive in New York City for The Pink Panther CD Rom games as well as for MTV for Daria during 1996. After that, he moved in California in order to join Klasky Csupo in The Wild Thornberrys and Rugrats between 1999 and 2001. Then, he relocated into Atlanta, Georgia where he got a job as a producer for Turner Studios from 2005-2013. The company produced storyboards and various other types of design for brands like Cartoon Network, TNT, TBS, Boomerang, Turner Sports, NBA TV and numerous others.
In 2015, Anyabwile once again collaborated with his brother Guy A. Sims and colorist Brian McGee to publish part one of a new graphic novel series for Brotherman: Dictator of Disciple called Revelation through Big City Entertainment.
He was in 1989 when he teamed up alongside his twin brothers Guy A. Sims to make an independent publication of the Brotherman: Dictator of Discipline comic book series. Guy A. Sims wrote and illustrated Dawud Anyabwile’s eleven Brotherman Dictator of Discipline issues. The first issue was published in April 1990, while the last one was released in July.

Dawud Anyabwile was a graduate of Central High School of Philadelphia. After graduating from high school, he enrolled in the Mason Gross School of Arts at Rutgers University for a year (1983-84) and then went on to the Tyler School of Art at Temple University for a year (1985).
He started the career of an artist when he began airbrushing T-shirts in The Gallery Mall of Philadelphia.
He also illustrated Walter Dean Myer’s Monster: A Graphic Novel in 2015 which is an adaptation of Walter Dean Myer’s original novel, Monster. Guy A. Sims wrote the graphic novel.
