David Hopkins (born 18 January 1971) is a singer and songwriter originated from Dublin, Ireland and currently living at Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. He is also the lead singer in the duo Bombay Heavy and was the initial keyboardist for the Irish LiR, an alternative group. Hopkins, Rob Whitehead, Bobby Lee Parker, Tobias Ashmore Tobias Ashmore, Rob Whitehead, and Mac Burruss will release Debut EP “Unreachable On Mountain” in June of 2015. The EP will also feature Mark Stoermer (The Killers).

In 2007, Hopkins released his debut Album Running with Knives. The album was featured on the soundtrack for Paris Hilton’s 2008 film The Hottie and the Nottie with Joel Moore. In 2009, Hopkins released the album There Are Debts.

While traveling in The US in 2001 with LiR, Hopkins left the band and remained in the US. After moving into San Francisco, Hopkins toured with The Who, playing keyboards during The Who’s The Who’s 2001 Quadrophenia Tour.

The group draws its influence from the likes of classic rock bands such as Pink Floyd or Led Zeppelin, playing a kind of psychedelic rock & roll; a striking contrast to David’s usual singer-songwriter style. The group’s debut EP features Dave Keuning and Mark Stoermer of The Killers, which is no surprise considering Bombay Heavy’s connection to the Las Vegas-based power group. Two of their earliest gigs were as the opener for The Killers in 2016.
