Faupala made the announcement on November 6th, 2017 in the Instagram posting that he was leaving Manchester City. On February 6, 2018, Faupala signed a two-year agreement to Ukrainian Premier League club Zorya Luhansk. The club made him debut the 18th of February 2018, playing for 90 minutes in Zorya’s victory 2-0 in the match against Karpaty Lviv.

The family was raised from Bully-les-Mines, Faupala joined Lens’ youth squad at the age of 13. After impressing in the youth teams of Lens, Faupala agreed to join Premier League side Manchester City on a three-year agreement through the year 2018.
