David Baker (born December 27, 1954; Bangor, Maine) is an American poet. He is a professor at Denison University and editor of the Kenyon Review.
He has taught widely, including at Jefferson City (MO) Senior High School, Kenyon College, the University of Michigan, Ohio State University, and since 1984 at Denison University, in Granville, Ohio, where he currently holds the Thomas B. Fordham Chair of Creative Writing and is Professor of English. He also teaches regularly in the MFA Program for Writers at Warren Wilson College and serves on the faculty of many writing workshops around the country.
