Daryl Mosley (born September 21 1964) is a popular American musician, singer, and music producer. He is most well-known as a bluegrass musician , and as the author of “(Ask the Blind Man) He Saw It All” the song that is the trademark of the gospel group from the south, known as the Booth Brothers. In both 2016 and 2017 Mosley was awarded the title of Bluegrass Songwriter of the Year.

The year 2001 was the time that Mosley’s longtime pal Tim Graves introduced Mosley to Grand Ole Opry stars Sonny and Bobby Osborne. They Osborne Brothers were looking for the bass player and singer to take over for the retiring Terry Smith. Mosley played with the Osborne Brothers until Sonny’s retirement in 2003. Then, he worked joined Bobby Osborne and his band The Rocky Top Express, until the year 2011.

In 2011, Mosley and Tim Graves left Bobby Osborne’s band and organized a new quartet, The Farm Hands. The band included Bennie Boling on banjo and Kevin Williamson on guitar. In 2013, Williamson left and was replaced by guitarist Keith Tew and later, Boling left and was replaced by Don Hill. The band’s first nationally released album, In A Country Town, was named Album of the Year by the Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass music for 2014. In 2015, the Farm Hands were named “Entertaining Band of the Year” and “Bluegrass Gospel Band of the Year”. In 2016, The Farm Hands again won “Bluegrass Gospel Band of the Year” and “Vocal Group of the Year”. In 2017, SPBGMA named The Farm Hands Entertainers of the Year, Gospel band of the Year, as well as awarding them Album and Song of the Year awards for “Dig In The Dirt” In 2018, The Farm Hands were named Band of the Year. Their Pinecastle album, “Colors” was named Album of the Year, and their song, “Rural Route” was named Song of the Year.

In 2014 Mosley, as part of The Farm Hands album “In A Country Town”, was named Album of the Year by SPBGMA. In 2015 The Farm Hands were named Entertaining Band of The Year and Bluegrass Gospel Band of the Year by SPBGMA.

Mosley as well as New Tradition moved on to make two albums with Pinecastle Records, Daddy, On His Knees, and The Piece At A Time, and one album for Mountain Home Records, Stand and Be Counted. The album was released before Mosley quit the group in 1999.

It was in 1987 that Mosley came across banjo player Richie Dotson in Dickson, Tennessee. Dotson brought Mosley the mandolin acrobatics of Danny Roberts and guitarist Fred Duggin and they formed the group New Tradition. The band formed in 1991. New Tradition won the national bluegrass band contest that was hosted by SPBGMA which is the Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music in America. This resulted in New Tradition contracting with Brentwood Music, with whom New Tradition recorded a number of albums. The first album, Bluegrass Gospel At It’sThe album, Bluegrass Gospel At It’s Finest It was a hymns compilation. The 2nd album, Seed of Love, featured several songs written by Mosley including the title song, “With His Hands In Wood” as well as “On His Knees”. The albums Closer than It’s Had as well as Love Here Today followed.
