Daniele Conti (born 9 January 1979) is a Italian soccer manager as well as a former football player who played the majority of his time at Cagliari in the midfield position. the current position he holds is coordinator for the club’s youth team. He is the father of the former A.S. Roma and Italy superstar Bruno Conti, and the younger brother of the soccer player Andrea Conti.

In January 2013, Conti signed a contract extension by one more year. On November 10, 2013 the striker scored two goals against Torino. He was accompanied by his father Bruno posted an open note, which was published in the local paper L’Unione Sarda several days later in which he congratulated him on his outstanding career. Earlier that year Daniele became the club’s record-breaking appearance-maker, breaking Mario Brugnera’s decades-old record. He retired at the close of the 2014-15 campaign, after 16 years at the club. In all, he played 464 matches for Cagliari and scored 51 goals.

Then, in June of 2004, Conti joined the team as they were runners-up in Serie B and returned to Serie A after 4 seasons. Conti was named the team’s new captain following the retirement of the long-serving Uruguayan player Diego Lopez in 2010.
