Daniel Jay Rohn (born January 10 1956, in Alpena, Michigan) is an infielder who played in the past in Major League Baseball. Rohn was selected as second baseman for the Chicago Cubs in the 4th round of the 1977 amateur draft and made his Major League debut on the 2nd of September September, 1983. The Cubs traded him to the Cubs to the Cleveland Indians for Jay Baller on April 1, 1985.
On February. 24 on the 24th of February, 2014 Rohn became the manager of an independent minor league Traverse City Beach Bums from the Frontier League.
In December of 2010 Rohn was ousted as the manager of Las Vegas 49ers by Marty Brown.

Prior to taking over with the Seattle Mariners as a coach in the year 2006 Rohn was head of Pacific Coast League’s Tacoma Rainiers from 2001-2005. As captain of the Rainiers and manager, he was awarded by the PCL Manager of the Year for 2001. He was also named Manager of the Year the following year in 2004 and 2005. The year 2001 was the time he guided the Rainiers to the Pacific Coast League co-championship shared with the New Orleans Zephyrs. In 2005 , the team made it to the championship game, but fell 3-0 to Nashville Sounds. Rohn also managed the minor leagues of Minnesota Twins from 1991-1992. Minnesota Twins organization from 1991-1992 and from 1995 to 1996.
In 2007 the year 2007, he was appointed to oversee his team, the Fresno Grizzlies, AAA affiliate of the San Francisco Giants. He also was the manager of his team, the Indios de Mayaguez team in the Puerto Rico baseball winter league. He lives within Traverse City in Michigan together with his partner Mindy. In 2010, he was appointed director for the Toronto Blue Jays Triple-A baseball team, also known as the Las Vegas 51s of the Pacific Coast League.
