Easley was born on November 11 on the 11th of November, 1969, in New York City. He was the son of a half-Puerto Ricanand half-Jamaican and his mother Cuban who carried Cherokee Indian blood. When he was 5 years, his entire family relocated to his home in the Bronx in New York to Mount Vernon, New York. At the age of 11 his parents separated and he and the father in California. He went to Lakewood High School located in Lakewood, California, where he played for the CIF champions in 1987. He went to Long Beach City College before being selected into the California Angels in the 30th round of the amateur draft.
When he was with the Tigers Easley’s career was taking off. In 1997, he became the fourth Tiger in the history of the sport with twenty stolen bases and twenty homers in one season . He also led in doubles with 37. The year’s final score of Easley’s was recognized with the signing of a three-year $8.7 million deal. By 1998, he was an American League All-Star. The year he was a star, he batted .271 and set career-highs by hitting more than 100 RBI. He also took part during the 1998 Home Run Derby, was named the 24th May AL player of the week, as well as was awarded the Silver Slugger Award for second baseman. On August 18, 2007, Easley suffered a high ankle sprain while advancing to second base on a wild pitch. This injury ended his 2007 baseball season, but he resumed play with the Mets in 2008.

The 31st of July, 1996 Detroit Tigers general manager Randy Smith dealt pitcher and former first-round pick Greg Gohr to the Angels in exchange for Easley. The deal was an absolute disaster for the Angels in that Gohr did not pitch well for the rest of the season before being not able to make it into the majors for the remainder of the season.

Jacinto Damion Easley (born 11 November in 1969) was an American former professional player in baseball who is now the hitting coach of the San Diego Padres of the Major League Baseball(MLB). Although he was primarily a second baseman during his entire career, Easley played appearances at every position , except the position of catcher and pitcher. He was a part of MLB as a member of The California Angels, Detroit Tigers, Tampa Bay Devil Rays, Florida Marlins, Arizona Diamondbacks and New York Mets.
