Cudjoe Ghansah ran for in the election and was elected she was elected to the National Democratic Congress parliamentary seat for the Ada Constituency in the Greater Accra Region. She was elected to this seat in the 2016 Ghanaian general elections. Three other candidates, namely Kanor Saakey from the New Patriotic Party, Asupah Manasseh from the National Democratic Congress Party and Daniel Katey Ossah of Convention People’s Party were also candidates in the by-election for 2016 in the Ada district held in the year 2016. Cudjoe- Ghansah was the winner of the election, receiving 18,954 votes of the 23,570 votes cast. This is 80.42 percent of all valid votes.
