In the episode “The Sadness of a Happy Time”, she performed her English-French bilingual rendition of Antônio Carlos Jobim’s bossa nova song “Meditation” (“Meditação”). The episode was broadcast on 16 May 1966.
She had hit singles in America on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart. Another song, “Wanderlove” (music and lyrics by Mason Williams), went to #7 on the singles charts in Singapore. She remains popular in Japan, where all of her original albums were reissued on CD.
